Strong Showing For M. Silver Associates at 2005 HSMAI Public Relations Awards

NEW YORK — M. Silver Associates, the New York- and Florida-based public relations agency specializing in travel, tourism and lifestyle, once again made a strong showing at the annual Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Awards gala, capturing a total of 14 Adrian Awards.

MSA’s awards, on behalf of six clients encompassing travel, destination and hospitality segments of the industry, were led by a Platinum Adrian Award for a major campaign to launch the Queen Mary 2, Cunard Line’s new ocean liner. That campaign included celebrity-studded special events, hosting over 400 media on the new ship and a comprehensive media relations program beginning with construction of the vessel and following through its christening by Queen Elizabeth II of England and maiden voyage to Fort Lauderdale and New York. Results of the campaign included over 20 hours of international television and a total of almost 250 million viewer impressions.

MSA’s other awards included four Gold Adrians on behalf of Cunard Line; a Silver award for the launch of Emirates’ first ever nonstop passenger service between New York and Dubai; four Silver Adrian Awards on behalf of Greater Fort Lauderdale, an MSA client for almost 20 years; Silver and Bronze awards for Millennium Hotels & Resorts; a Silver Adrian on behalf of VIA Rail Canada; and a Bronze Award for the agency’s consumer marketing program for Chinatown, New York.
